Add-ons of NASA World Wind
The Add-ons, which we are going to consider in this article, are very interesting and useful. Let us consider them one by one.
Add on regarding Major continental Faults:
This Add-on is regarding the major continental faults of the planet Earth. This is a very useful Add-on for the purpose of teaching the students of the classroom. This Add-on will allow them to understand the major and the massive continental faults present all over the World. This Add-on also shows the Major effects which are caused to the formation of continental faults. For example, the Major continental faults include the rifts, steps, Tectonic contacts and faults. These are the effects of the continental faults. This allows the students or the users of any level to interact and understand the subject very well. This Add-on is very useful for the people who are related to the field of geology and also the people who are interested in the field of Geology. It is a well represented Add-on.
Add-on Mars:
This Add-on is applicable to the version 1.2 of World Wind. This is an Add on which is related to the planet mars which is the closest planet to Earth. This planet is our next neighbor after Moon. This Add-on consists of an imagery of Mars which is high in resolution. This is an excellent feature of Mars Add-on which is present in the Add-on. It also shows high elevation data of Mars which is a part of topographical features of Mars.
The next Add-on which we are going to consider is the Mars Mission Add-on:
This Add-on is related to the missions who have taken place with respect to mars. This Add-on displays all the landings, which have taken place on Mars. This is very typical of this Add-on. It does not show the other features of Mars like topographic features like elevation, mountains, the carters, the depression etc. It concentrates only on the landing sites of Planet mars by humans.
Mars Landmarks:
This is not true Add-on it can be called fictional or false. Fiction is related to the false science. Maps where referred when this Add-on was created this enabled the creators to recollect and settle the differences between maps and the actual Geography giving them a true look.
Meteroritical Bulletin Add-on:
This Add- on is related to the meteorites. These meteorite Add-on consists of standard co ordinates. Note that the documented co ordinates do not consider the Add-ons form Antarctica. Mainly in this Add-on consists of meteorites, which have stuck North America. But this Add-on is very essential for studying the frequency of meteorite strikes in a specific country or all over the world. This is very useful to predict the activities of Meteorites and their places of Striking. To access this Add-on you first have to click on the layer manager and then you have to expand the menu for this Add-on to display and then check the appropriate box, which is present there.
