Does NASA World Wind require some softwares?

Yes, NASA World Wind requires Microsoft.NET 2.0 and Microsoft Managed Directx 9.0c. While downloading when you will click on the download link the installer should be enable to detect these by default. However, if you do not have these installed or even if you have and the installer does not detect them, you should try installing them in the order mentioned above.
