Now let us consider the updates, Installations of all the Add-ons The first we are going to discuss about the Katrina Add-on:

Katrina Add on:

This Add- on has the resolution of about 1.5 per pixel. This variation in the resolution of pixels is observed.

Installation:

To use the self installing exe follow these steps: First Double clicks ‘World Wind _1.3_Katrina_Data_ Add-On_0.1.exe’ and then follow the on screen prompts.

When the installation is complete then you are ready to run the World wind. Once World Wind has loaded the unselected ‘NLT Landsat7 then click on the tool bar which is available their. The black arrow present in it should disappear

Then after you have finished this process then click on the layer manager which is located on the far left of your tool bar the layer manger menu will then appear. Once it appears then click on the option tick ‘Hurricane Imagery’ and then zoom in to view the affected areas.

To choose the difference between the different photographic images available in this add-on click the small white arrow which is available next to the ‘Hurricane Katrina Imagery’ present in the layer manager option. A list of different views will appear in the click in the center of any circle to select the view you want.

Utilizing the zip:

Now you are ready to run the World Wind once the World Wind has loaded the unselected ‘NLT Lansat7 visible color’ in the tool bar by clicking on option. The little black arrow which is present should disappear.

Then you have to click on the layer manager which is located in the far left of the toolbar. The layer manager menu will then appear in the Hurricane Katrina Imagery. Then Zoom to view the affected areas

The Add-on Language Switcher:

This Add-on is for the switching of the Language in the World Wind central. This Language switcher is applicable for both the Original Version and the Rebuild version. This is included in the World Wind for supporting multiple languages.

TODO List: Translate more languages Ask NASA World Wind team to public the layer manger header and item and the caption properties in the next version. It may support the Translation without the need to rebuild. Fix the bugs which infect the applications of World Wind.

PLUG-INS For original World Wind:

This Plug-ins is shown only in the version 1.4 of World Wind. Copy this plug-ins to the Plug-ins folder. Menu to change the Language will appear in the in Plug-ins menu item when you have installed it. The plug-ins can only translate the Menu Item in the menu bar and Menu Button in the Button bar.

Plug-ins for Multiple Languages World Wind:

You can use it with the rebuild version only. This can be done by replacing 3 of the patch file “World Wind.exe”, “World Window.dll” and last but not the least “Plug-in SDK.dll” Use it in the same way as the original Version but note that this plug-ins can translate Layer manager header, each Layer Manager Menu item and the caption of Position.
