This error is associated with the .NET application. If you have not installed .NET on your computer, you can face this error. Therefore to avoid this error you should better install .Net on your computer. However if you already have .NET on your computer and still you are facing this problem then there seems to be some problem with it. Try reinstalling it as this may solve the problem.

This also is the problem which occurs if you do not have .NET installed or there is some problem with it. So you should either install it or reinstall it.
How can I reinstall the .NET application?
a)First of all un-install the previous application which may be present on your computer.
b)Then you need to delete the microsoft.net from the Windows Directory. Note you may also need to delete it from the Program Files directory as well.
c)Then REBOOT the system.
d)After this you can start installing World Wind.
e)When you do this, you should be prompted to install .NET. The instructions for doing this will appear on the screen. Just follow them. Note if you are not prompted to install .NET, something is wrong, you may have forgot to delete something.
f)After this you should again REBOOT the system.
g)Then again start installing NASA World Wind.
h)This time you will be asked to install DirectX runtime. Just click on the OK option.
i)Then once more for the last time start installing NASA World Wind.
this time if you have done everything right, it will get successfully installed.
What is the problem if the Landsat icons or the Images do not appear in the Layer Manager?
If you do not see the Images and Zoomit buttons or options in the Layer manager, you should ensure that you are connected to the internet at that moment. This will occur whenever you are disconnected to the internet because these layers are downloaded only when you click on them and therefore you need internet connection at that time.
p>Another reason hwy this can occur is firewall. Firewalls can block world wind and therefore you need to put it in the list of allowed websites in the firewall settings.What is the reason problems occurring with the downloading of tiles?
This can occur due to the server side problems. So you should ensure that there isn't any. For this you can just check the Server status page.
What is the download monitor and what is the use of it?
The latest version of NASA World Wind i.e. Version 1.3 has this new feature which is helpful for diagnosing problems related to downloading tiles, etc. In order to access it you can just Hold down the Control key and press H.
