GLOBE is a data set having climatic data about the different regions of earth. GLBOE also features climatic data for the previous days as well. Therefore, if you want to know about the climatic data for some previous day, you can get through GLOBE.
This makes GLOBE a very useful feature. With it, you can study the climatic change in a particular location. The data is available for most parts of the world.
The climatic factors that this feature covers are rainfall, cloud cover, temperature, barometric pressure, etc. moreover it also provides student GLOBE factors as well. Moreover, all these samples have a temperature scale.
Country and state borders for United States
The maps that you view through world wind also feature the country borders. Therefore, when you are viewing the different regions around the world, you know which part you are currently viewing. Therefore you can understand, how the geographical features have played a role in the forming the borders.

Initially, when you are viewing the earth at a lesser zoom level, only a few names will appear on the screen. This prevents the over crowding of names on the screen. During this time, only the important names like the names of countries, capitals etc will appear. However, when you zoom in further the further names of smaller cities, towns, city streets, etc, will appear depending upon the level to which you zoom in.
The collection of names that NASA World Wind has is so large that it has names for most of neighborhoods and streets of cities. Therefore, it is likely that you will also find the name of neighborhood as well.

To aid your browsing experience NASA World Wind is loaded with a number visual tools and guides. These guides and tools provide additional information about the places, which you view on your screen. For example, you can view the latitude and longitude lines, or the precise coordinate data for the region you are viewing on your screen.
It is up to you whether, you want these tools on your screen or not. You can turn them on or off any time. Another thing, which you should note, is that they can be viewed with any type of views.
Landmark set
The landmark set is a set of 3D models of some important structures around the world. These 3D models are so perfectly designed that’s they appear almost real. NASA World Wind has landmark models for several important structures and monuments around the world. However for the ones which do not have such models you can still view them as the places of interest in the MODIS imagery.
