Role of NASA in Aeronautics
The role of NASA in aeronautics research started by the work of an organization that was created just after the beginning of the First World War. In the year 1915, the Nation Advisory Committee for Aeronautics was created for helping the US learn everything it could and as fast as it could regard, the science of flight. By the next forty years, this research contributed largely to the design of the all the American aircrafts of that time, including military and commercial. In the year 1958, this was replaced and taken over by NASA. It was a new agency that took over the legacy of aeronautics research that has already put in significant efforts to make the flight more efficient and safe.
