Shiny Marble:

Shiny marble plug-in adds an effect of highlight to Earth water surface. This is a very important plug-n since we are considering the beautiful the plug-in looks due to this effect. Note that this is a version which is alpha channeled BMNG Bathy. This version is of the recent years.

How to install this Plug-in:

To install Shiny marble first download it and then haul the file to your World Wind Plug-ins directory.

Usage:

To use this plug0in first load the plug-in in World Wind version. Then open the Plug-ins menu and then click load or Unload option. Then click on the Shiny marble option which is present in the load or Unload window. Then you have to push the load button. Note that the indicator next to the load button should turn green this indicates that now you can safely close the Plug-in load/Unload window.

If you wish to have better responsibility and usability then you can turn off the ‘Images’ layer which is present in the Layer manager.

Let us consider the next Plug-in which is the Sky and Fog Plug-ins:

As the name suggests this Plug-in is related to the Sky and dome effect exclusively for World Wind application only. One more specialty of this plug-in is that it is present in the layer manager in the form of two layers. If you wish to change the settings the then you have to Right click on the layer. The settings like the fog thickness, two sky bitmap files and several gradients. You can also drop new bitmaps in the ‘sky and fog’ plug-in folder. These bitmap files become available in the settings of the type jpg or alternatively png. All your settings are saved.

How to install this Plug-in:

To install this Add-on you can follow these steps. To install this application first try to unzip the file this is related to your program files which is present in NASA World Wind version 1.3 directory. After following this procedure you should create a new folder which is named Sky and Fog.

Now start World Wind and then go to plug-ins load or unload option. Then load Sky and Fog plug-ins. So if you wish to create settings then you can right click on the layers which are present in the layer Manager left key.

Important point to be noted: This application works only for that version 1.3.2 version of World Wind. It can also work in the versions which are above 1.4. This plug-in is now going to be available in the version 1.4.1 in the future release.

Solar clock Plug-in:

The specialty of this plug-in is that it displays the time and the location under the cross-Hair which is calculated from longitude, UTC, and your local time too can be discovered using your own window settings. The time is shown with the help of solar time. So there are little discrepancies in comparison with the local time. So this is a close to accurate Plug-in and very useful to.
