What is the procedure for naming the tiles?
The tile naming structure depends on the layer name, longitude, latitude, and level.
When you begin with World Wind 1.3.3 you are able to view the tile name information from World Wind.
For viewing the tile filenames and outlines just open the “Layer Manager”. Then right click on any of the bottom level image nodes and select “Properties”.
For this in the resulting window you can change the the property value of “RenderTileFileNames” to “True”. On doing so you will be able to see the text and red outline for each tile.
Note that the text outlines are at a different height than the terrain. Therefore for the best results set the Vertical Exaggeration to 0. Moreover it is also important that you focus on the centre of the outline, so ensure that as well.
