An Innovative Simulation of the Earth - The Earth Browser

The current incarnation of the Earth Browser is yet in beta testing and it contains many interesting features. The Earth Browser is based on either the Adobe Air or the Flash Air. It is a genuine substitute to the Google Earth in a number of respects. It also serves as the best classroom tool to study some topics based on geography, such as tectonics and weather. You can provide first hand experience to children while teaching such topics that are the easiest way of grasping anything.

The Earth Browser is a fun to use, quick in operation and extremely spontaneous. The virtual globe appears stunning when expanded to full screen on an instinct whiteboard. The navigation tool is richly enhanced with a beautiful and attractive menu that is draggable. The datasets in the Earth Browser’s program includes tectonic plates, country borders, volcanoes, comprehensive real time weather information and earthquakes.

Then, there is placemarks tag that adds a number of other data sets that includes the Aurora Activity. You are free to add your own placemarks, as well. For example, you can add the photo images that you must have taken recently in some particular location. You can open the KML files by dragging them in the Earth Browser and then click on the flags or the names in the weather window. This will show the related Wikipedia search.

The placemark menu contains the option for opening the Google map. This Google map tracks down the Earth Browser view when it is panned. This is one of the characteristic features of the Earth Browser, as the Google map shows the satellite view at resolutions that cannot be managed by the Earth Browser itself.

An innovative Earth’s simulation is the Earth Browser that has made an effort in combining the three dimensional, easy to navigate globe along with the real time weather conditions and the 7-day forecast for numerous locations. The screensaver option takes the Earth Browser on your desktop that has a gorgeous image. It is a great educational tool that is a must for the weather watchers. If you are a weather nut, then the Earth Browser will be unbelievable addictive option to you. This is so because it gives you your own private system of weather satellites.

This fun and joy program enhances a three dimensional globe on your desktop as a screensaver or as a application that is being updated continuously with live and animated data. This data covers temperatures, cloud cover, webcam footage, etc. Zooming in and out over the real time earth is now possible through the Earth Browser. In addition, the paid versions impart impressive 2 km per pixel resolution. Want to check the temperature in Hallmark? Want to see if there is ice formed on the roads of Belgrade? Want to see the clouds swirling over Amsterdam? Yes, everything is possible just within a few clicks and you will be there in the desired location in no time.

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
