What should be done, when the EarthBrowser crashes?
If you hold down the control key and select “Reset Database” from the File menu, the database of earthbrowser will be reset. If you are not able to launch earthbrowser, press the ‘a’ key immediately after you launch it for resetting the database. An important thing to consider with this method is that you will loose any data or settings, which you have made.
Also, note that this problem can arise due to internet disconnection as well. Therefore, you should check whether you are connected or not.
What should be done when the earth becomes fuzzy when tried to zoom in at a greater level?
Generally, when you try to zoom in at a greater level the images pixels are stretched out on a larger area. This makes the image appear fuzzy. Therefore reducing the size of the window can be making the image look more precise.
What should be done to display the metric units?
The option to display them is in the settings menu. Go there are click on the option “Use Metric”.
The earth has stopped rotating, what should I do to make this rotate again?
This is very simple task. Just make use of the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard. Alternatively, you can also drag the earth, pull it on one side and then release it. This will set it in motion and it will keep on rotating.
What is the procedure to add my own city?
For doing so open the window of ‘Location List’ and then click, “new” button. After this, you can enter the name of your city, name of country and state, and the time zone and coordinates of your city. Doing so will add your city to the location list of EarthBrowser. However, note, it is important that you enter coordinates in decimals. Moreover, also take care that the south and west are negative.
How can the whether icon for my city be made to appear?
For it first choose you city from the location list window. Then go to the “Weather Zoom Level” and move further to a greater resolution. The weather icons will automatically start popping up.
How can I make a city icon visible, if it is covered up with the other icons?
From the location, list window find and one by one mark the cities whose icons are covering your city. After this go, shift the “Whether Zoom Level” slider to 0%. On doing so, the icon of your city will be visible without any obstruction.
What should be done if country names are not appearing?
The country names would not appear if you were at a lower zoom level. Therefore, try zooming in a bit closer and the names of countries as well as geographical regions or ocean features, are revealed. Note that for smaller countries you will have to get even closer zoom level.
After what interval of time does EarthBrowser update the clouds?
The clouds are updated after every 3 hours.
