Earth browser is a 3 dimensional model of planet Earth that continuously updates global information. It provides virtual representation of planet Earth that provides accurate data about planet Earth. The globe can easily be magnified and rotated to give a close up or distant view of Earth from space.
Share Ware: The satellite program is share ware. You can download and try the software as long as you wish. In demonstration mode, some features have been disabled. If you like the software then you have to register online for 29.95 dollars. Once you register yourself, you will get a serial number that will certainly unlock the restrictions of the demonstration version. The software does not work on Earth browser. That is why your computer should have either Windows XP/2000 or Mac OS X. Although the software will operate on 256 MB RAM, 512 MB of RAM is recommended.
Menu Commands: Open KML/KMZ: You can open a local KMZ or KML file in KML window to display contents on Earth. You can also achieve the same result by dragging a KMZ/KML file onto Earth Browser window.
New Browser: With his command, you can open a new web browser window.
Close Window: Using this command, you can close topmost window. Windows that you can close with the help of this command include city window, KML windows, and Browser Windows. However, you cannot close inactive reduced windows or the main control window.
Save All: Using this command, contents of personal data can also be saved to transport or archive your placemark collection.
Save selected: You can also save currently selected items in personal data collection. To achieve this, all you have to do is drag the selected items on a text document or else you can select “copy” from edit menu and then you have to paste it in a blank text document.
Screen capture: With the help of this command, you can save a snapshot of current Earth browser window. The snapshot can be saved as either a PNG or JPEG file by setting file extension to “.png” or “jpg”.
Optimize Database: This command is used for reducing the size of your database. This command deletes the data stored in internal cache that hasn’t been accessed for the past week.
Empty cache: This command deletes all data stored in internal cache; however, your personal data won't be effected.
Edit menu: So if you want to perform redo, copy, paste, cut, or select all operations then you have select the edit menu. All these functions are provided in this menu.
Find Locations: Open find window. It allows users to search a particular city in internal database. Earth browsers display names of all cities, places in its data base that contains the user's search parameter.
Map window: This command opens map window. This command displays a flat map from online map providers which is synchronized with Earth browser globe.
Using the placemarks menu, you can create a new placemark as well as edit or delete a placemark.
