For this, choose the city whose weather icon you would like to appear in the Earth Browser. Then go to the City Window and therefore click the either the (‘o’) Edit or add (‘+’) button. These buttons are under the zoom slider. On doing so, the city will get set to show up at the current zoom level.
Therefore, you have to zoom in further to the elevation of your choice. Then click save i.e. the ‘x’ button for saving this resolution. The save button also is situated under the zoom slider. If you want to remove the icon for that city, just click the delete button (‘–‘), and it will get deleted.
Note that, if you want to view the weather icons, it is extremely important to turn off the weather datasets.
