Removing your listings, using the live maps for your business
Removing the listings: Once you make your listing and submit them to the live search maps, they will appear on the website of the live search maps until you wish to discontinue this program with the live search maps you can do this simply by using the following procedure.
Removing the listing: This you should do when you want to close the business or you do not want that your personal details should appear on the web. The procedure for doing so is as follows.
a) Open the Live Search Local Listing Center website. b) In some cases, the website may demand that you login with the Windows Live ID. c) Then mark the listings that you wish to remove by clicking “Remove listing”, next to them. d) Then click “Remove”. This procedure will complete the application for removing the listing. However, to come into effect this may take up to 48 hours.
Removing the white: This is useful for if you do not want that your personal information should appear on the website. For this, you can just opt out and the live maps will remove your listing from its size.
The procedure for this is as follows.
a) Open the Live Maps website. b) A search box will appear on the screen. In this box, enter your name city and postal code. c) Then after this click “People” button under the “Search” box. Then for activating the search click search button or press enter on the keyboard. This will activate the search. When the results list appears mark the numbered pushpin adjacent to your name. Alternatively, you can also choose your pushpin directly on the map, and then click “Remove listing”.
d) Then go to the “Opt out” page. There is box and a picture containing some characters. Enter the characters that you see and click “Remove”. Remember that this too would take up to 48 hours for the removal to come into effect.
Using the live search maps: You can also make use of live search maps for yourself or your business. With the live search maps, you can find the locations, business, collection, landmarks, created by other persons, or contacts for your business. You can also find the listings of the other users on the white pages.
Searching for the locations: a) Open the website of the live search maps. b) There, a search box appears on the screen. In this box, you should enter the address, which you wish to search. The address should have the following contents. Full address- to enhance the accuracy of the search enter as much of the details of the address as possible. Also, remember that you use the correct method for typing the address. For example, use commas between two lines etc. Partial address- you should also provide a partial address like the name of the region or the country for the location. Nearby sign-, it proves to be very useful if you can also mention a nearby sign for that location.
c) Then under the search box click the option of locations. d) Lastly, for activating the search process click “Search” or just click “Enter”.
