The institute for the application of geospatial technology (IAGT) is a non-commercial organization, which is specialized to provide applications of geospatial information, and it is supported by advanced techniques and tools such as satellite and aircraft based imaging of the earth. It works like a geographic information system, global positing system and visualization technology system.
It serves in three major groups to give geographic information such as government agencies, educational agencies and business based communities.
The government-based agencies of servir-viz provide sponsored conferences, researching on land cover area and fine management projects. It also helps researchers to view and analysis environment related elements.
It is supported by educational institutions to teach various geographic topics of the earth. It also provides GIS programs, sponsoring internships and much more.
Servir-viz is well supported by business communities to expand the use of geographical information. It involves consulting and software training for people. It also helps geographical technology to grow. The IAGT provides guidance and support to people that will be required by people and organization.
Servir-viz is also supported by shuttle and topology missions to provide high-resolution digital topological images of the earth. It is an international project, which is supported by national geospatial intelligence agency and national aeronautics and space administration (NASA).
The datasets provided by SRTM helps NASA to provide topological images of Australia and new Zealand and numerous of south pacific islands. It has released more than 1200 data cells, measuring one by one degrees of latitude and longitude.
Other datasets, outside United States helped to develop new datasets within three seconds. It has accuracy of 1/1200 th degrees of latitude and longitude and about 90 meters resolution to provide topological images of the earth.
The servir research partners helped business, government and non-government organizations to develop best interest of the environment. It also helped communities to develop and take some environment protection related measurements.
It helped NGO’s, universities and local communities to understand various earth related issues such as global warming. It helps them to make a scientific approach for earth prevention related issues.
It also helps communities to maximize collective activities to preserve our planet‘s natural balance and it helps servir’s partners to make strategic, financial and technical support activities. Therefore, it helps them to evaluate their challenges and come up with their solutions that make economic and environment sense.
The servir-viz research partners are working to give environment friendly practices that enable them to reduce their impact on critical habitats and create economic opportunities for local communities that respect the need to use natural resources.
The servir-viz research partners are working with government leaders , civic bodies and communities in some of the world’s most biologically unique and threatened areas to create vast tracts of protected habitats without sacrificing livelihoods.
It helps people to develop safeguards for out planet and it also increases responsibility of everyone who benefits from nature‘s bounty. It helps to conserve health and diversity of life on the earth for generation.
