Servir-Viz’s Research Partners
There are many partners involved for servir-viz projects such as NASA which is a space agency of united states, USAID, SPENA , PNUMA , ANAM, MARENA etc. These agencies are working on various projects such as water, land usage and sea level related projects.
The water center for humid tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC) is working with United nations university international network on various issues such as water, environment and human health. they have signed an agreement with united nations to establish and operate water virtual learning center. This service of servir-viz is specially designed for Latin America and Caribbean regions.
The USAID is another service of servir-viz and it has a long history of extending a helping hand to those people those are struggling to make a better life. It helps people to recover from disaster such as earthquakes, snowfalls and floods. Therefore, it also helps people to improve quality of life.
The servir-viz is also supported by nature conservancy magazine, which gives detail information on various earth based activities. It also helps people to develop land based conservation activities to protect various species such as giant kelp and forest ecosystems. It also helps scientists to discover hidden species.
Servir-viz also helps in data mining, in which it uses sophisticated techniques to discover hidden data and information. It also uses artificial intelligence, computer graphics to analysis data and information.
Servir-viz also helps to develop earth science markup language, it provides elegant solution to analysis earth science data, which is archived and distributed in many formants. It provides interpretability with other geographical applications without requiring modifications to the applications.
The ITSC is a partner in the NSF information-technology research project, which is also called linked environment for atmospheric discovery project. It works on semantic metadata for datasets and servers as educational service, knowledge resource and community reference.
The ITSC is working on new emerging standards and approaches to develop state of art distribution system to provide satellite data, information and knowledge. It helps to develop various data pool such as GHRC data pool, which provides online access to passive microwave data through conventional FTP and user customizable capabilities.
The CCAD which is also a partner of servir-viz is working to develop local meteorological service. This is service is only available in Brazil and it helps to develop various catastrophic events such as hurricane. It is capable to monitor hurricane of 5 degree and it is capable to monitor winds of 165 miles per hour. It can predict locations very accurately.
The UMGC is another servir-viz research partner, which is dedicated to improve understanding, usage and access to geo-spatial information. it uses remote sensing to get various data formats. The data is then processed by using computer programs and then it displays results in the report format.
In other words, servir-viz is working effectively with many research partners, these partners help people to get data in various formats. Therefore, it serves human being to solve various earth as well as human related problems.
