For creating the measurement line, you will have to again click and the results will vanish.

GEOSS Decision Support: For stretching the headings, you just need to click on plus symbol. You will then have to move on to data layer to see it. A complete list of layers will appear on the screen. When you click on any layer, its description appears at the bottom. For adding this picture to Servir Viz terrain, you will have to click on load tab. To systematize transparencies, you can make use of opacity sliding bar. In case you have selected multiple entries, it is possible to view animated layers. For removing the images, you can press cancel tab. In order to remove these layers from the window, uncheck the 'GEOSS Decision Support' box in layer manager. Note that GEOSS Weather, GEOSS Marine/Ocean environments, GEOSS Climate and GEOSS ecology, all these useful tools work in the same manner.

Another most important tool of Servir Viz is historical earthquake query. If you wish to make any earthquake or historical query, choose your search method. Then you will have to type search limitations such as when the event started and ended. You will have to type only this information for global search. If you wish to make any rectangular query then enter decimal degrees of that area. Clicking on 'Get' from NASA World Wind and you will be able to find the area currently seen on Servir Viz terrain. It will also display the coordinates of rectangular viewing area.

For a radial query, you will have to enter the latitude and longitude of the centre of search. To use the current Servir Viz view, click on Get lon/lat from NASA World Wind. By doing this you will be able to see the current coordinate of center of screen. While you are making this query, don't forget to enter search radius in kms. After entering all the parameters, click on the query database. A list of 5 major earthquakes will then appear. Along with this information, a summary of total number of earthquakes found will be also provided. Points will appear where earthquakes are shown on Servir Viz terrain. If you hover the mouse cursor over an earthquake, information about that Earthquake will be provided in detail. Just click on the clear tab for removing the results from the screen.

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
