Servir Viz Toolbar Icon Explanations

Historical Earthquake Query- this tool permits the users to find out USGS earthquake data with many variables, such as time, geographic area, and magnitude. This tool also shows results of what you are searching on the Servir viz terrain.

Virtual Earth- this tool connects the user to Microsoft Local Level databases, as well as uses data from the same databases. This database includes USSG Imagery, street maps and hybrid maps. This tool also provides users with adjustable data visibility levels and an address finder.

Demis World map- this tool adds a map of the world on the Servir viz terrain, which includes cities, hydrography, airports, relief shading and roads.

Topo Sheets- this is one of the important tools of the Servir viz. This tool adds topographic maps to the Servir viz terrain for Mesoamerican countries.

Vector Layers- this tool activates the Vector Layers under Servir Framework in the Layer Manager. These layers include Lakes, Rivers, Main Roads and Watersheds.

Fire Alerts- this tool activates the fire alerts layer under Servir Framework in the Layer Manager. The layer in this tool includes information from the last 24 hours or the past 7 days.

Floods- this is one of the most important tools of the Servir viz and it activates the floods layer under Servir Framework in the layer manager. The layer in this tool includes database from the last 14 days, historical data from years past as well as labels for the flood areas.

Volcanoes- it is one of the major tools of the Servir viz. It activates the volcanoes layer in the layer manager. The layer includes information on volcanoes classified by the country where they are positioned. Tool tips about every location can be seen when users hover a label with the cursor. If you want more specific information regarding this tool click onto the label. When users click onto the label a hyperlink is activated that provides more specific information.

Placenames - this tool categorizes and labels counties, cities, and countries on the basis of the current zoom level.

Boundaries- this is one of the major tools of the Servir viz. This tool draws country boundaries and boundaries of the US stats.

The Layer Manager permits users to turn layers on and off Servir viz. If you want to stretch out the headings in the Label Manager, just click on the triangles. Then turn on layers by checking the box next to the layer name. The layer manager also allows the users to turn layers off by unchecking the box next to the layer name. The users may have to zoom in for viewing many of the layers.

The Add/Save points tool is used to add as well as save points by using the Servir viz - 3D interface. Users can get access to the tool through the Plug-Ins drop down menu. After that, the points designed are saved in the Add/Save Point layer in the Layer Manager.
