Using the Servir Viz Plug-ins

Servir – Add WMS Interface

The Servir WMS tool permits you to search, preview, as well as include data layers to Servir viz. If you are searching for data layers, select the server URL in the Select Service table by clicking on the row in order to highlight the server. If you select a server, it will inhabit the select data layer information box with the data layers obtainable from the highlighted WMS service. If you want to highlight the layer, choose a particular layer in the select data layer information box by clicking on the specific name. Once you click on the specific name, the data information box will display extra information about the chosen layer.

If you want to view the chosen layer, click onto the Preview tab in the main Servir Add WMS dialog box. The preview tab tools can also be used to interact with the layer preview. If you want to include this data layer to Servir Viz, then ensure the server tab is chosen. Once you make sure, the server tab is selected then click on the Add to Servir Viz button. After that, close the Servir Add WMS dialog box by clicking on the 'X' tab in the upper right hand corner of the dialog box. After that, your data layer will be included in the Layer Manager under the interface of Servir WMS.

Zoom to Location

if you want to zoom to a location, then enter the longitude and latitude of a location in the particular boxes according to coordinate system, such as degrees, decimal degrees, minutes or seconds.

Image Overlay: Servir Viz also allows you to overlay an image. If you want to overlay an image that is not served via WMS, then click on Add an Image tab on your screen. Then by using the Browse button, you can also move on to the directory where the image is located. The image will be added in the Layer Manager under Image Overlay. If you want to turn off the overlay image, just click on turn Images off in the Layer Manager. In the same way, while turning on the overlay image, check the box or click onto Turn Images On in the layer manager. If you click on Clear all images, all image overlays will be removed from the layer manager and the screen.

Placemarks: Placemark is another important tool of the Servir Viz that permits you to add a Placemarks. If you want to include a placemark then click onto Add a Placemark. When you click on the area of your interest on the Servir Viz terrain, a dialog box appears on the screen. When a dialog box appears, enter the name to indicate on the map when you point to the placemark. When the placemark is pointed, type a description that can be seen in the lower left of the screen. If you want to add a hyperlink, enter the perfect URL. The hyperlink will open when users will click on it.
