When you create the listings for your business using the Live Search Maps you can view the viewers who can offer you business will view it. Thus, you can increase your business. These listings should be correct and therefore you can check it before they appear on the live search maps. If they are incomplete or incorrect then the viewers as well as you will have inconvenience. Therefore, it is very important that you check the listings.
You can view your listings by using the following procedure. Once you complete the procedure for submitting the listings to the Live Search Maps, they will appear on their website. This may take up to 48 hours and therefore you should try to view the listings after 48 hours.
a) Open the Live Search Maps website. b) Then click Business. This will open the business section of the Live Search Maps. A search box will appear on the screen. In this search box, enter the name of your business your city code and your postal code. c) Then click on the search button next to the search box or alternatively press enter from the keyboard.
This would provide you your listings. You can view them and if there is anything incomplete or incorrect in them then you can edit them. For editing, follow the following procedure.
a) Open the website of the Live Search Listing Center. b) Then sign in using your Windows Live ID if it asks you to do so. or otherwise use the Cookies. c) Then from the options select ‘Edit listings’. This will activate the tool for the editing of the listings. d) Using this tool make the necessary changes in your information. When you are sure, everything is correct and as per your wish, you should click ‘Submit’.
Reviewing location of the listings.
If there is any problem with the position of the pushpin on the maps, i.e. it is not at the position, which shows your location, you may click on the pushpin and then drag it to the correct location.
Selection of the categories:
It is better to mention the category or categories of your business. For this, you can select up to a maximum of 6 categories. Follow the following procedure.
a) Open the Live Search Listing Center website. b) Then sign in as usual, using the windows live ID or the Cookies. c) Then select Categories. On the tab for the categories, a list will open up. From this list, select the one or more categories from it. Alternatively, you can enter a keyword in the search box and then click on the search, which will open the list. Then you can select the correct ones.
d) If you choose two or more categories, you can arrange them according to their importance. For this, make use of the up and down arrow keys. If you want to delete any category click, X. e) For some categories like the hotels, restaurants, etc, it is important to describe additional supporting categories. f) Lastly click Submit.
Remember, if you choose the Cookies for the sign-in method then you cannot sign in through any other computer than the one you used for signing-up for the Live Search Maps. In this case you will need to add the ‘Listings’ again.
